Chicago Information

Urban Alliance’s 11th Grade Obama Foundation’s Obama Youth Jobs Corps (OYJC) is designed to empower youth through workforce readiness development and training. High school juniors attend weekly after-school training to develop hard and soft skills, gain career exposure, and demonstrate their readiness for the workforce. After being selected to join the program, students will then spend 3 hours a week participating in workshops created to equip students to navigate the workforce. Our workshops will be held twice a week after school at their high school.

Students who successfully complete the program will have gained over 40 hours of professional development and workforce readiness training, earned up to $650, developed a professional portfolio, provided individualized post-high school planning support, and received a recommendation for acceptance into Urban Alliance’s paid High School Internship Program for seniors. Students will also have the opportunity to be considered for a 6-week long summer internship program.

Applications will not be completed until you press the "submit" button.

Applications are due Friday, December 6th, 2024.
